is looking for a full-time 3D Generalist for a Role Playing Game (RPG) in Virtual Reality (VR).
We are looking for an adventurous and experienced 3D Generalist who’s up for a special challenge. Aexia is a new style of Multiplayer VR RPG. It’s a novelty style of game that blends the unpredictability of Live Action Role Play, Escape Room, and Murder Mystery games. The result is a distinctive play experience that is only possible through multiplayer VR. We call it “Theatre RPG”.
Job Title: 3D Generalist (Gaming)
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will work closely with the art director, game designers, and programmers to create high-quality 3D assets for our games. The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual with a strong understanding of game development and a passion for VR gaming. You will operate in a dynamic, agile environment with the opportunity to expand your knowledge of immersive content development and work on many different types of projects.
Your Responsibilities as a 3D Generalist:

Create high-quality 3D models and textures for characters, environments, and props using industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.

Ensure that 3D assets meet technical requirements and performance standards for various platforms, including PC, console, and mobile.

Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other artists to ensure that 3D assets meet design and gameplay requirements.

Help to define and maintain the art style and visual quality of our games.

Contribute to the development and optimization of production pipelines and workflows.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in 3D modeling, animation, and game development.

Model high-fidelity optimized 3D game assets for use in VR.

Texture game assets using PBR pipelines and optimize for VR.

Participate in art reviews, providing and receiving constructive criticism
Requirements:

College or equivalent training in 3D Animation and Digital Design.

2+ years of experience in 3D modeling and texturing for video games.

Strong proficiency in an industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.

Experience with Substance Painter and Photoshop for texturing.

Strong understanding of game development and the technical requirements of game assets.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Team-oriented, collaborative, and self-motivated.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

A passion for video games and a desire to create high-quality, immersive gaming experiences.
Bonus Points for:

Experience in game design and development.

Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
