AlensiaXR was formed to help Case Western Reserve University extend its pioneering HoloAnatomy® learning platform to every anatomy program in the world. The HoloAnatomy Software Suite uses advanced mixed-reality technology to illuminate the human body in three dimensions. Job Description
We are looking for a talented, 3D Artist/Animator to join our growing mixed reality design team. A contractor-to-hire position reporting to the Senior Artist, this person will be responsible for creating and updating medical content and anatomical structures in 3D, rigging and animating anatomical functions as well as other content. In this role, you will have access to global thought leaders and mixed reality innovators to help you build your skills while innovating on a successful product. Overall Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the expansion of the HoloAnatomy library of anatomical art assets—including modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.
- Work with a team of anatomists and other experts to create and update anatomical content in an augmented reality environment
- Work with the Senior Artist to maximize the efficiency of established best practices and guidelines
- Work with the Engineering and other cross-functional teams within the AlensiaXR SDLC methodology to complete deliverables in the prescribed manner.
- Ability to research and leverage published medical material and translate that into corresponding illustrations
- Work with your team to help assess the mixed reality and medical education spaces and identify opportunities to innovate on our products in order to provide the best user experience possible.
- Work with the software engineering team to understand and improve how digital assets are optimized and processed.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling, texturing, and animation applications (Maya and Substance Painter strongly preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with game art optimization techniques
- Experience and interest in working with AR/VR devices and 3D modeling
- Experience designing traditional digital materials (i.e.: websites, marketing brochures, etc.)
- Experience working in a Unity/Microsoft environment
- Ability to make accurate work estimates, prioritize work, and keep to a schedule.
- Have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
