Job Description
Character Artist – VR Games Project – Remote Working
We have partnered with an exciting games studio based in London, who require a Character Artist to help build the characters for a new VR Title from scratch. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.
This Character Artist will work very closely with the Co-Founders of the studio and the Art Director. Your first mission will be to model and texture a range of characters that the player will interact with, such as NPC’s and main/playable characters. You will use your experience to inject realism and the personality into these characters to make them believable for the player.
The studio is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about games development and wants to be part of working on high-end quality projects, brought together by some of the greatest minds in the games industry.
The Game they’re building is still early in development, so there will be plenty to model and design, the studio is looking for this artist to have loads of imagination in an ever-changing world, with customisation at the core of everything.
This role can offer you a chance to own quite a large area of the project and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team and a flat structure, where they can get involved in concept phases and really make a difference on the final output.
This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely) or a split/hybrid work pattern in their London offices, if you prefer some hybrid working.
You must be based in the UK already to be eligible for the remote working option.
