We are in need of a freelance 3D Artist to help develop concepts for an immersive event. We have already conducted an extensive round of concept definition, including a basic storyline, key elements and reference materials, but we are looking for an experienced artist to translate these materials into a living environment.


To use emerging trends in procedural geometry, specifically blender’s

geometry node

method, to translate an existing art direction into a functional exterior environment. The ideal output will be a fully animated scene, with lighting, texturing and environmental conditions (fog, wind, particles, etc). The end goal is to import this scene/node graph into a game engine (Unreal/Unity) to continue developing behaviors and interactions for the environment.


The optimal candidate would be someone with experience developing exterior environments for real-time 3D pipelines, such as film/animation production and game development. Prior experience creating “whimsical” or “fantastical” environments is welcomed.

We’re looking for an artist with a combination of skills and a general understanding of the 3D rendering pipeline, from end-to-end. Someone who doesn’t really see hard lines between design and development, but can combine their interests in both to amaze audiences and engage with viewers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Blender’s (3.0+) Geometry Nodes, with examples illustrating your capabilities with the software.

  • 5+ years experience working with 3D Software (Blender or otherwise). Although the role requires Blender, experience in alternative options is very welcomed.

  • Experience creating exterior environments for games or film/animation.

  • A self-starter and team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
