Your Role

As a

3D Prop and Environmental Artist

, you’ll be an essential part of our team, responsible for creating stunning, high-quality 3D assets and environments in a

dark fantasy realistic

style that bring the haunting world of

Shadows of the Lost

to life. From intricately detailed props to vast, immersive environments, your work will define the visual identity and atmosphere of the game.

You’ll collaborate closely with level designers, technical artists, and other team members to ensure assets are optimized, visually striking, and seamlessly integrated into the game.

A portfolio is required to be considered. Must include

realistic-style props or environments that align with a dark fantasy aesthetic.

Stylized examples will not be considered.

Shadows of the Lost

is a dark fantasy soulslike that takes the genre to haunting new depths, blending momentum-based combat, a gripping story, and a unique companion system. Set in a fractured world corrupted by an otherworldly shadow, the ruins of once-great civilizations echo with the lingering power of demigods who forged deadly pacts with mortal rulers.

As a lone adventurer, traverse desolate landscapes shaped by twisted myths. From a dark fantasy style frostbitten ruins of Norse sagas to the cursed tombs of Egyptian kings. Responsibilities

  • Design and create high-fidelity 3D character models (both humanoid and non-humanoid) that align with the game’s dark fantasy aesthetic.
  • Sculpt detailed, realistic anatomy, clothing, armor, and creature designs using industry-standard software (e.g., ZBrush, Blender, Maya).
  • Create optimized topology and UV layouts for animation and in-game use.
  • Collaborate with animators to ensure models deform correctly during animations.
  • Work closely with the technical art team to integrate characters seamlessly into Unreal Engine 5.
  • Implement textures, materials, and shaders that enhance realism and visual quality.
  • Iterate on feedback from the art director and team to ensure characters meet quality and performance standards.


What We’re Looking For

  • A portfolio showcasing

    realistic props and/or environmental assets in a dark fantasy style

    .
  • Strong skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and material creation.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 for asset integration and world-building.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment and adapt to feedback.
  • Passion for the dark fantasy genre and/or action RPGs.


Not Required but Nice to Have

  • Experience with photogrammetry or procedural asset creation tools.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine’s World Partition or Landscape tools.
  • Knowledge of lighting, atmosphere, and composition for creating immersive environments.
  • Experience optimizing assets for high-performance gameplay.
  • Level designer experience.
