[REVSHARE] Disclaimer this is a revenue share position with NO SALARY initially, although additional funding may be available if we can secure it. Almost half of our team has AAA experience so we are optimistic about our chances to receive funding but it is not guaranteed. We do not require full time commitment until we have funding.


Your Role

As a 3D Artist, you’ll play a vital role in crafting the visual essence of

Shadows of the Lost

. Your responsibilities will range from creating realistic props, environments, and creatures to refining textures and shaders that bring our dark fantasy world to life. Whether it’s sculpting detailed models or optimizing assets for performance, your work will shape the game’s immersive atmosphere.

You’ll collaborate with level designers, animators, and the technical art team to ensure all assets are visually stunning, seamlessly integrated into Unreal Engine 5, and aligned with the game’s dark fantasy realistic aesthetic.


Portfolio requred to be considered. Must include realistic style art examples We are not looking for stylized examples.

Shadows of the Lost

is a dark fantasy soulslike that takes the genre to haunting new depths, blending momentum-based combat, a gripping story, and a unique companion system. Set in a fractured world corrupted by an otherworldly shadow, the ruins of once-great civilizations echo with the lingering power of demigods who forged deadly pacts with mortal rulers.

As a lone adventurer, traverse desolate landscapes shaped by twisted myths. From a dark fantasy style frostbitten ruins of Norse sagas to the cursed tombs of Egyptian kings. Responsibilities

  • Design and create high-quality, realistic 3D assets, including props, environments, and creatures, that align with the game’s dark fantasy style. (MUST HAVE EXAMPLES, WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR STYLIZED)
  • Sculpt detailed models using industry-standard tools such as Blender, Maya, or ZBrush.
  • Create optimized topology, UV layouts, and LODs for in-game use.
  • Develop realistic textures, materials, and shaders to enhance visual quality.
  • Work closely with animators to ensure assets integrate smoothly into the game.
  • Collaborate with level designers to ensure environments and props fit the narrative and gameplay.
  • Integrate assets into Unreal Engine 5 and ensure proper functionality and optimization.
  • Iterate on feedback from the art director and team to meet quality standards.


What We’re Looking For

  • A portfolio showcasing realistic 3D work (props, environments, or creatures) with a dark fantasy aesthetic.
  • Proficiency in tools like Blender, Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5, including asset integration and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, and PBR workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment and adapt to feedback.
  • Passion for creating dark fantasy visuals and/or action RPGs.
