Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take assets that have already been modeled and textured and use our suite of tools to integrate them into the game engine.
- Reshape character models to change their proportions from one body type to create another.
- Create shaders and dyes to control the final look of the materials and glows in-game. This can involve minor VFX work for people who are up for the challenge.
- Gracefully receive and adeptly address feedback from Art Directors and Art Leads.
- Compile armor reference sheets, using a template, for external vendors to follow.
- Occasional Bug fixing.
- Possibly model and texture a 3D armor asset from concept, depending on business needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Create visually appealing and high-quality 3D character art assets for games with an attention to detail.
- Skilled in each stage of 3d production: Block Model, High Poly, Low Poly and UVs, Textures, Shaders, etc.
- Ability to receive direction well, understand the goals, and follow through to achieve the desired results.
- Develop positive and collaborative work relationships with abundant communication in a remote work environment.
- Follow naming conventions and file organization.
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues related to creating 3D art, and a willingness to learn to use our proprietary tools and engine.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Prior experience as a 3d Character Artist working on games similar to Destiny 2, and/ or multiple portfolio pieces in a style similar to the Destiny style.
Listed below is this role’s base pay range within the greater Seattle area. In other locations approved for remote work by Bungie and our external resource vendors, this pay range may be adjusted to the local market and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly), This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Bellevue Pay Range
$75,000 — $75,000 USD
Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
- 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
- 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
- 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
- One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked
