Technical Artist – Rigging

Salary Range:

£60,000 – £100,000 per year


Contract Lenght:



12 Months, inside IR35 – PAYE employee


Location

: 100% remote within the UK – candidate must be physically present in the UK with valid right-to-work permissions

Calling out an experienced Technical Artist with a solid background in Rigging to join a global media company who are known for its work within the AR/VR industry.

As a Technical Artist, you will be creating tools to streamline rigging workflows and work closely with the other engineers, data scientists, designers, and user experience researchers in the team focusing on building characters and avatars to provide extraordinary real-time experiences to the users.


Your background:



  • 5+ Years of experience rigging characters in Maya

  • Experience in game development or film as a Technical Artist or Character artist


  • Experience in facial rigging and morph targets

  • Experience with Maya Python/PyMEL, C++ API, PySide/PyQt
  • Good understanding or exposure to Unity or Unreal


  • Any experience with face tracking from video or similar technologies or virtual reality experience is a great advantage
