TSR is run by a team of Sims creators and players who are passionate about The Sims and gaming.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Sims Resource (TSR) is hiring a full-time Artist Manager to play a crucial role in managing and nurturing relationships with our 200+ freelance artists who contribute their creations to our platform. You will serve as the primary point of contact for these artists, addressing their queries, facilitating smooth communication, and ensuring timely payments for their submissions. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various teams within the website to align content themes, maintain quality standards, and enhance the overall user experience.
This is a remote position and we are open to considering someone outside of the UK, however because most TSR artists are in Europe, you will be expected to align your work hours accordingly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Artist Liaison:
- Act as the main point of contact for freelance artists, fostering positive relationships and providing support throughout their engagement with TSR.
- Address artists’ inquiries promptly and professionally, including questions regarding content creation, submission guidelines, and payment procedures.
- Maintain open lines of communication to ensure artists feel valued, supported, and motivated to continue contributing.
Content Coordination:
- Collaborate with the site team to establish and communicate themes, styles, and requirements for upcoming submissions.
- Assist artists in understanding and adhering to TSR’s content standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all submissions.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to artists to help them improve their work and align with TSR’s brand identity.
Payment Processing:
- Manage the payment process for freelance artists, including verifying completed submissions, calculating compensation based on agreed-upon rates, and initiating payments in a timely manner.
- Address any payment-related issues or discrepancies promptly and work with the finance team to resolve them efficiently.
Submission Management:
- Facilitate the submission process for artists, guiding them through the necessary steps and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Organize and maintain a database of submitted content, tracking progress, and ensuring that all submissions meet TSR’s requirements before publication.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with various internal teams, including engineering, design, and customer support, to ensure alignment on content strategies, priorities, and initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects to contribute insights and ideas for enhancing TSR’s offerings and user experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as an Artist Manager, or in a similar role, preferably within the gaming or digital content industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with artists and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Familiarity with content creation platforms and processes.
- A positive, non-combative attitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A passion for gaming and creative content, particularly within The Sims community.
- Knowledge or experience with various tools and software to design, model, texture, and package assets, including graphics software, 3D modeling software, texture mapping, modding tools, meshing tools, and texturing tools.
