We are helping a partner who is reshaping product data management (PDM) for small and medium-sized CAD engineering companies. Founded in 2023, they are a fast-growing B2B SaaS startup on a mission to deliver a user-friendly, cloud-native, CAD-agnostic platform helping mechanical engineering teams to plan and manage projects end-to-end while enabling a seamless collaboration between internal teams and external partners. They empower mechanical engineers to manage their workflows directly within their preferred CAD systems, streamlining customer onboarding and accelerating product adoption.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a customer-centric

CAD/PDM Solutions Expert

who will be instrumental in demonstrating our value proposition to prospective clients while growing into a Product Management role. This key position connects our product development team with our customers’ needs, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). You’ll become our go-to expert of our Cloud PDM core value proposition, helping shape our CAD/PDM product roadmap while ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our customers that drives business growth.

This is a full-time, remote position for candidates based in North America.

About You

You have hands-on experience with CAD/PDM systems like Solidworks or Inventor and are passionate about the space. You have a customer-oriented mindset and acknowledge that the offering of traditional PDM solutions such as Solidworks PDM or Onshape can be dramatically improved by putting the user first, offering intuitive user experiences, and streamlining the collaboration between engineering teams and their external partners and clients. You understand the value of powerful automations and integrations with additional tools and ERPs to help teams plan, manage, and deliver CAD engineering projects end-to-end. You want to leverage this opportunity to drive meaningful innovation in the CAD/PDM space and transition towards a Product Management position.

Customer-facing responsibilities

●      Deliver compelling demonstrations of Sibe’s capabilities to prospective clients while assisting Sales on calls

●      Prepare demo environments and pre-sales materials tailored to specific customer needs

●      Conduct discovery calls to understand customer pain points and validate product requirements

●      Serve as the CAD/PDM technical expert while assisting Sales in client conversations, articulating our Cloud PDM value proposition

●      Build relationships with early adopters and turn them into product champions

Product-facing responsibilities

●      Own and evolve our Cloud PDM value proposition, ensuring alignment with market needs and internal stakeholders

●      Develop and own the product roadmap for our CAD/PDM core value proposition

●      Collaborate with development and design teams to create detailed requirements and user flows

●      Guide development throughout the product lifecycle from concept to release

●      Analyze feature adoption and gather feedback to continuously refine our product offering

●      Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for meaningful market differentiation

Experience

●      Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD/PDM/PLM systems and tools (e.g. Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor/Vault, etc)

●      Hands-on experience with multiple PDM platforms is a definite plus (e.g. SolidWorks PDM, Autodesk Vault, Onshape, etc)

●      Experience communicating technical CAD engineering concepts to diverse audiences

●      Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate user workflows and customer pain points

Skills

●      Deep understanding of mechanical engineering workflows and PDM concepts

●      Ability to speak the language of our target customers (Mechanical Engineers) and address their specific challenges

●      Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and customers

●      Methodical approach to investigating issues, translating them into product requirements and validating proposed solutions based on customer feedback

●      Team-oriented attitude and experience partnering across functions including development, design, marketing, and sales

●      Growth mindset and eager to learn new technologies and continuously refine your skills

Qualifications

●      Fluent English (written and verbal)

●      Based in North America

●      Available during US Eastern and Central time zones for client calls

●      Previous experience as a product owner / product manager or similar role is a plus

●      Familiarity with SaaS product development and modern agile methodologies is a plus

Compensation

●      Salary range: $ 90-100,000 USD annually (gross)
