Job Summary:

Seeking a

Design Approval Engineer (DAE)

with ETOPS experience to support major/minor design change determinations in accordance with

FAA Regulation 21.93(a)

. This role involves working across both development and sustaining aircraft programs using internal design change classification systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Major/Minor Determinations (MMDs) for design changes per FAA 21.93(a)
• Review pre/post ATC changes for ETOPS applicability
• Provide oversight at both system and airplane level
• Utilize internal tools (e.g., DCCS) for documentation
• Support internal audits of MMDs

Requirements:

• Active DAE credentials with “ETOPS General” qualification
• Experience with FAA regulations, especially 21.93(a)
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and certification processes
• Familiarity with development (e.g., 737MAX/777X) and sustaining programs (e.g., 737/767/787)
• Strong skills in project scheduling, strategic objectives, and tools like Microsoft Project
