Job Description
G&A is looking for a Production Artist to visualize, organize, and bring creative design to reality. With a keen eye for materials and solid experience with the details, the Production Artist will run a clean and organized process, collaborating with design teams and fabricators alike. The end result? Flawlessly produced impactful visitor experiences.
They must be both technical and creative, using those skills to create a finished product that meets organizational and/or client branding goals.
What does a Production Artist do, typically?
A keen eye for detail is essential for any production artist and well as an eye for aesthetics. Their combined knowledge of both graphics and technical skills makes production artists essential to design teams. Their daily responsibilities include:
Responsibilities

File Production:
Assisting design teams in producing all experience design elements from small labels and text panels to full wall murals and everything in between -
Collaboration:
Working closely with the design team to define final goals and potential consideration for desired output -
Production Specifications:
Assessing production specifications, recommending adjustments based on experience or fabrication needs, and creating a final product that adheres to those requirements -
Schedule:
Assisting to create and follow a Final Design Artwork schedule that identifies workflow deliverables to ensure projects progress in a timely manner -
Panel Schedule:
Assisting with creation or adjustment of the panel schedule, adjusting and organizing as pieces are complete -
Fabrication Shop Drawings:
Using shop drawings from the fabricator to create final artwork to scale (experience not required, can learn on the job) -
Package: After the file is created, package all Final Design artwork based on file specification needs form the fabricator and G&A standard

Proof:
Processing and proofing all graphics files in final proof from fabricator
Required Skills

Adobe Suite:
Expert with manipulating graphics through Adobe Creative Suite apps, most frequently: InDesign. Illustrator, and Photoshop -
Google Suit: (not required) some experience with google suite is desired
