About The Role

Are you enthusiastic about shaping the future of education through cutting-edge technology and storytelling? We are seeking a motivated and energetic Lead 3D Artist who shares our vision. In this role, you will have the opportunity to merge advanced experiential pedagogy with the storytelling prowess of the entertainment industry to create unique virtual reality experiences. Working under general direction, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team of artists, game developers, and project leads, utilizing the latest technology tools and artificial intelligence to craft immersive, story-driven experiences. Your responsibilities will include modeling and texturing game assets, as well as seamlessly integrating them into our game engine.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate creative solutions, identify constraints, and provide feasibility recommendations.

Conceptualize and create game assets that captivate and engage users.

Work iteratively on artistic concepts in a fast-paced environment.

Provide constructive feedback on existing assets and propose ideas for new ones.

Model and texture game assets (objects and/or characters) and integrate them into the game engine.

Oversee the work of a team to deliver coordinated projects.

Delegate tasks and provide clear guidance to team members.

Assume or coordinate additional duties or projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Digital Art, Multimedia, Game Art & Design, Animation, or a related commercial arts field.

Six (6) years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Desired Qualifications

Evidence of a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.

Professional experience with video game content creation, with one or more shipped titles in your portfolio.

Proficiency with Unity.

Familiarity with Dreamscape Learn’s SDK platform.

Experience in developing for Virtual Reality.

Skills in animation and lighting.

Prior experience in creating educational content.

Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing using tools like Maya and Substance Painter.

Experience with version control software (e.g., Perforce, Plastic, SVN, Git, Bit Bucket).

Familiarity with Project Management Tools (e.g., Jira, Shotgun, Trello, etc.).

Basic scripting skills (e.g., C#, Python, MELscript, etc.).

Experience coding or integrating software in game engines, visual scripting tools, or web development with HTML, CSS, C#.

Leadership experience in a team setting.

Proven ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple milestones and projects.

Adaptability to changing creative directions.
