Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled 3D Hair Card Artist who specializes in creating realistic hair, fur, and feathers using hair cards for characters and creatures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong artistic sense, and proficiency in industry-standard hair card creation workflow, and software.

Responsibilities:

– Create and implement realistic hair, fur, and feathers, using polygonal hair card systems for characters and creatures.

– Collaborate with the art direction, modeling, texturing, and animation teams to ensure the highest quality of created assets.

– Optimize hair cards for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.

– Troubleshoot and solve issues throughout the production process.

– Stay up to date with the card creation techniques and software advancements.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a 3D Hair Card Artist in a professional environment.

– Experience converting grooming, hair curves, and particles into hair cards

– Experience with industry-standard 3D software such as Fibershop, Maya, Blender, Unreal, and ZBrush.

– Excellent artistic skills with a strong attention to detail.

– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience in game development or animation production.

– Strong portfolio showcasing realistic hair card based hairstyle work.
