ZBrush Character and Prop Modeler Job Description

Koin’s mission is to bring digital ownership to games which people play for years and remember forever.
We are looking for an amazing Character and Prop Modeler with ZBrush and Unity game development experience to help us create our first game for mobile and desktop. In this totally remote role, you’ll model and texture stylized and accessible characters who battle it out on our arena’s game board. This position reports directly to the project’s Art Director.

Responsibilities

Model and texture stylized, fanciful, accessible and fun characters with props.

Work to technical specs provided by our team’s Technical Artist.

Work from sketches provided by our concept artists.

Play our work-in-progress game daily to review your work in the game.

Create and iterate on concept art for the characters you’ll later model.
Requirements

3+ years of professional game development experience.

2+ years of experience developing with Unity.

3+ years of experience with Zbrush and ideally Maya as well.

Must have released at least two games on any platform (mobile preferred).

Rock solid modeling and texturing skills.

Rigging and/or animating experience is a plus.

Knowledge of Substance Designer, Substance Painter and other content tools.

Familiarity with physics-based rendering a plus.

We prefer candidates who have a portfolio of 2D concept art and character designs.

Must be a ninja when it comes to iterating quickly.

Experienced with non-realistic, stylized, approachable, fun character models.

Well-versed in in a wide range of character art for games, movies, cartoons, comics, etc.
