About the Role

As a signed artist under Velvet Midnight, you’ll receive:

Compensation & Royalties

Responsibilities

• Create and perform
  
  original music
  
• Collaborate with your assigned producer to complete tracks on time
• Communicate regularly with your manager for bookings and logistics
• Maintain a
  
  professional and reliable reputation
  
• Submit high-quality vocals or recordings for production (remote or studio)
• Perform
  
  at least 50% original material
  
  at live gigs (publishing requirement)
• Participate in promotional efforts (bios, photos, social media, etc.)

Requirements

• Demonstrated musical ability (live or recorded)
• A serious interest in pursuing music as a career
• Reliable internet, communication, and (if remote) recording access
• Willingness to sign a
  
  10-year contract
  
  (effective until canceled)
• Must not currently be signed to another label or publisher
• Must complete an
  
  artist disclosure form
  
  regarding any prior affiliations
• All styles considered, but artists in
  
  jazz, R&B, pop, and fusion
  
  are especially encouraged to apply
