Environment / CGI Artist at Mira
MIRA
(https://mira.world/) is a one-of-its-kind photorealistic multiplayer social VR platform built to host and aggregate creators’ content, providing them with seamless integration, navigation, avatars, tokenization, and social layers along with a high-quality rendering unmatched by other platforms. Powering the creators with the highest visual standards, Mira is designed to be the reference for emblematic universes such as culture, entertainment, tourism, sport, luxury/fashion, and real estate.
With growing demand from clients and creators, and continued support from Epic Games, Verizon, Nvidia, and Facebook, the next 2 years are dedicated to the empowerment of creators’ content based on the decentralization of Mira’s world and the introduction of Blockchain-based capabilities and tokenized assets on the platform (Land sales & rent, NFTs, Marketplace, Play-to- Earn, …).
Mira is based in Paris and New York, with a team of 15 developers, CGI artists, and World designers.
Join our CGI to help build and grow our high-end photorealistic platform using Unreal Engine.
You will be working on a variety of projects going from improving and creating new environments and props for the platform itself, to work on commands from our very diverse pool of clients (luxury, heritage, automotive…)

Job description :
-
Creating photorealistic and high fidelity environments in Unreal Engine.
-
Delivering production-ready results.
-
Create high-quality/high fidelity game engine assets (Sculpts, high-poly, low-poly, High-poly to low-poly bakes) from scratch to production quality.

High-quality material creation, assignment / texture painting.
-
Experienced in rendering aesthetics in Unreal Engine. UV unwrapping and light baking of environments with realistic and artistic quality.

Maintain performance requirements for levels (memory, framerate, draw calls, instances)
-
Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve.
-
Optimize visual aspects of environments.
-
Optimize textures and geometry; creating LODs.
-
Create high-quality and artistic cinematics.
-
Lighting design (static and dynamic) and compositing objects in the level.
Skills & Requirements
Minimum Requirements as a technician:
-
Minimum 3 years of industry experience with Unreal as 3D artist or similar position
-
Understanding of 3D real-time limitations and Unreal topology, material, and lighting needs.

3ds max or similar 3d software knowledge.
-
Good understanding and experience creating lighting and shaders in Unreal Engine.
-
Good knowledge of optimization of geometries.
-
Portfolio demonstrating exceptional 3D art skills.

Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve, wide spectrum projects.

Good knowledge of textures creation packages such as Substance Designer and Substance Painter.

Good artistic eye.
