What your will do as a 3D character artist

— Collaborate with Tech Art and Engineering teams throughout the development process to ensure assets meet functional requirements and are optimized for engine and platform limitations.

— Take full ownership of assigned tasks, working closely with lead, art director, and producer to effectively manage day-to-day aspects of the project.

— Utilize skills to create a wide range of character assets, ensuring high-quality standards from initial sculpting to implementation in the engine.

— Continuously strive to enhance and elevate the quality and visual appeal of characters throughout the development cycle, identifying opportunities for intelligent mesh structure optimization.

— Produce optimized and game-ready textures of top-notch quality.

— Seek opportunities to introduce technical innovations, streamline tools and workflows, and advocate for best practices within the team.

— Develop high and low poly models with meticulous attention to specific technical specifications for game console platforms.

About you and your background

— Possessing 3+ years of experience as a skilled artist specializing in character art for game development, utilizing Unreal and/or Unity.

— Extensive understanding of anatomy, form, silhouette design, and the importance of detail hierarchy.

— Proficient in sculpting and poly modeling, capable of creating a wide range of character assets spanning from stylized to hyper-realistic.

— Familiarity with various prominent 3D and 2D software packages such as 3DS Max or Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance, along with their respective techniques for Characters, Creatures, and Costuming.

— Demonstrated expertise in creating physically-based rendering (PBR) textures, with a solid grasp of the PBR texturing workflow.

— Possesses technical know-how of modern pipelines, workflows, and techniques essential for developing characters with clean topology.

— You have a great team spirit and are proactive.

— In addition, it is required to possess a portfolio showcasing at least one original and comprehensive work of industrial design.
