Character Artist – Avatars £35,000 – £55,000 Fully Remote Are you a skilled character artist with a passion for pushing the boundaries of realism? We’re on the lookout for a talented Character Artist to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the real-time 3D metaverse industry. About the Company We’re working with technology company that specialises in creating immersive, interactive experiences. Recently, they’ve received substantial private investment, which they’re using to build their own cutting-edge products and platforms. They have partnerships with renowned fashion and entertainment companies for their game-changing platform. This platform is set to revolutionize the fashion and retail industry with 3D virtual stores. As a result, they are now recruiting for a Character Artist to join their growing Art team About the Role: In this pivotal role, you’ll be crafting high-quality, detailed 3D avatars tailored for real-time applications. Your creative touch will ensure these avatars meet exacting performance and quality standards. Beyond that, you’ll also employ advanced photogrammetry techniques. This will involve capturing and seamlessly integrating real-world elements into their virtual characters and objects, achieving a level of realism that sets new standards. You’ll be working closely with our art and development teams, ensuring the seamless integration of avatars and assets into the overall project. This synergy is crucial in bringing our immersive experiences to life. As a company who are passionate about utilising cutting edge of technology they’re looking for someone with the same passion so continuous research and implementation of the latest 3D art and photogrammetry technologies will be a key part of your role. About You: As with all creative positions your portfolio will be paramount, so we’re looking to see a variety of both realistic and stylised characters where you’ll showcase your expertise in 3D character modelling /sculpting and texturing for real-time applications. Experience working with industry-standard 3D software like Maya, Blender, ZBrush, or similar. You’ll have an understanding of PBR workflows and have a good grasp of real-time rendering engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
