rFpro | 3D Environment Artist

Role Overview

The Content Team, led by the Head of Content, is responsible for generating and maintaining the 3D engineering content that rFpro creates and sells to our customers. The Content Team has two areas of production: Engineering and Art.

The Art Team is managed by the Head of Art and three functional team leaders, the 3D Environment Artist will report to the 3D Environment Lead.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of the rFpro Art Team generating 3D graphical models and environments.

What will you be doing?

• Creation of hard and soft terrain surfaces in the form of race circuits, public roads or proving grounds along with other objects that vehicles interact with.
• Be part of the 3D environment art team, building and delivering content projects, collaborating with members of the rFpro Content Team as required.
• Scene implementation of freestanding objects (props, buildings, etc), delivered by a 3D Prop Artists.
• Deliver optimised scenes, adhering to visual and performance standards as well as structure and naming conventions.
• Work within agreed timeframes and deadlines.

What are we looking for?

• Expert knowledge of 3DS Max.
• 5-10 years’ experience of the creation of real-time game/simulator environment art.
• Excellent & demonstrable modelling, unwrapping, and texturing skills.
• Ability to plan time and consistently provide accurate timeframe estimates.
• Respond positively and proactively to constructive feedback.
