Job Summary

The Algorithms Team is seeking a Technical Artist to develop and implement cutting-edge 3D content and systems in a fast-paced research and development environment. The ideal candidate is a 3D generalist with experience in modeling for both offline and real-time environments, synthetic data, procedural systems, machine learning, and outsourced content. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and develop various content, understanding workflow challenges while pushing visual and technical boundaries. Utilize your expertise to help deliver next-generation products. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to provide synthetic data that aids in developing innovative computer vision and machine learning algorithms. You will closely collaborate with the synthetic data team to build software solutions for future products.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AAA video game development, feature films, or VFX
• Proficiency in multiple content applications, including Maya, 3DS Max, Substance, Houdini, and others
• General knowledge of off-line rendering pipelines (VRay) and real-time engines
• Proficient in both automated and manual asset conversion (mesh, materials, etc.)
• Expertise in physically based rendering, camera setup, lighting, scene matting, and material calibration
• Ability to deliver high-visual quality within performance and time constraints
• General knowledge of Python/PyMEL, MaxScript, or C/C++

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Arts or a related field
• 3+ years of industry experience
