Segritude Games was established in May 2023. We are a passionate start-up game development company committed to creating unique, immersive gaming experiences. Our growing team brings together various skills and expertise, working collectively to develop a game that stands out in the industry.

As a start-up, we offer a flexible contract agreement requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week.

PLEASE NOTE:

This position is currently unpaid. Compensation will be provided once we secure investment or generate revenue. Our HR staff ensures your hours are accurately recorded and tracked. Once funding is secured, these funds will be allocated to compensate you for your contributions.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This is a remote role for a

3D Artist

at Segritude Games. You will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets for our game, ensuring visually stunning and immersive environments that enhance the player experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and materials optimised for real-time rendering.
• Develop detailed environments, props, and characters that align with the artistic vision of the game.
• Work with Unreal Engine to implement and optimise assets for performance and quality.
• Collaborate with designers, animators, and programmers to ensure a cohesive artistic direction.
• Enhance environments with lighting, shaders, and visual effects.
• Optimise assets to maintain a balance between visual fidelity and performance.
• Maintain and improve the overall artistic consistency and style of the game.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience as a 3D Artist in the game industry.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5), including asset integration and material creation.
• Strong skills in 3D modelling, sculpting, texturing, and shading.
• Proficiency in software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Experience in creating optimised game-ready assets.
• Understanding of PBR workflows and real-time rendering techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to creative and technical challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D art and game assets.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Experience with Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system.
• Knowledge of animation, rigging, and VFX.
• Familiarity with procedural asset generation tools such as Houdini.
• Some experience in C++ for Unreal Engine.
• Understanding of lighting, post-processing, and shader development.
