• Project Description

Me and my team are currently in the process of producing a possibly game-changing 3D animated short film that could have the potential to shake up the entire British animation landscape, as well as garner viral success and award consideration. Me and my colleagues have crafted an action-packed animatic, exciting story, digital art, and high-quality 3D models that give us confidence in the film’s success. We are calling this “The VOODOOVILLE Project”

• Role

We require a skilled concept artist for the VOODOOVILLE novel, on which the short film is based on. As of now, we don’t have a signature style that is linked to the novelisation, so we are in need of the right person whom we can collaborate with to create this distinct and future iconic style, which we can use for promo on our various social pages.

• Film Synopsis

Spex, our 17 year old timid yet quick-thinking protagonist, encounters Joe, a shady character who Spex witnessed getting arrested a day prior. Joe is being heavily pursued by a group of mysterious faceless individuals. Joe stops and pleads Spex for his help. Spex knows he shouldn’t get involved but after brief contemplation, he decides to help Joe anyway. What proceeds next is an action-packed chase scene through the busy fantasy city, which results in a dramatic climax which see’s Spex and Joe escape, but barely. A heated Spex then questions Joe about the suit people and what they wanted. Before Joe can explain, the film ends on this cliffhanger, leaving the audience wanting more.

• Book Synopsis

The book is about a seventeen-year-old with severe amnesia, who finds himself awoken in a strange new world, filled with talking cats, witchdoctors, highly addictive slushies, and criminal underworlds. Throughout his journey, he seeks desperately to find answers about his identity and how he can return to the real world. In his pursuits he finds friendship, tangles with his personal demons, falls in love, gets involved in a gang war, and confronts his own mortality; In this adventure-filled, comical, and surreal search for answers.

• Possible Benefits

We understand how taxing and time-consuming Digital Art can be and because of this, we are more than willing to pay you a monthly fee and offer you a percentage stake of all things VOODOOVILLE, including TV & Movie rights, royalties, brand and merchandising etc, once the project starts to bring in revenue. We truly do believe this will lead to something big but we do need your help to bring this to life.
