DreamArc studios is a new fledgling animation company focused on making quality family-teen content and giving a chance to talented creatives.

We are seeking motivated and talented background artists looking to break into the industry to work on an in-development action-drama animated children ’s show.

Background artists will report to the series showrunner and collaborate with other team members to help bring engaging shows and movies to life.

This is a remote position with communication done primarily over Discord, Zoom, and occasionally email. Artists will have a specific agenda to achieve and goals to fulfill.

Previous work or enrollment in an art program is not a requirement, Our goal is to give talented artists who have been turned away by other studios. However, please submit a sample writing sample showing off your skills as a background artist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with the Art Director and other Concept Artists to produce quality designs that meet the established art direction.
• Create highly functional background art for use by Production Artists to create animated content.
• Generation of conceptual thesis using the information provided by production, design, or art direction.
• Utilize mock concept art to create more detailed and production accurate backgrounds.
• Create concepts that clearly illustrate characters and their environments.
• Attend briefing and brainstorming meetings and participate by bringing ideas or changing direction when appropriate.
• Work closely with production to deliver quality artwork on time.
• Contribute original visual design ideas throughout pre-production and production.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to quickly iterate on concepts given input from the Art Director and Senior concept artists.
• Ability to correctly mimic show style and
• Professional attitude, strong listening skills, and an ability to take constructive criticism.
• Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including, but not limited to, landscape painting, graphic design, and illustration.
• Emerging proficiency with industry-standard visual art software.
• The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration.
• Self-driven, good communicator, and a great team player.
• Demonstrated industry stand skill level through portfolio.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to communicate, submit work, and attend virtual meetings through

• Reliable. Able to complete assigned stories on time.
