3D Artist – HIRING ASAP
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6-month contract (Extension thereafter)
Location: Remote
Rate: £377-£450 per day inside ir35 via Trust in SODA
Responsibilities:
- Art producer assigns them to projects, Sync meeting with the art director and teams on progress.
- Work on assigned task, attend meeting to sync with partners and share progress.
- Work closely with Art director to bring their vision to product. And then with the technical artist to make sure the asset they are building is meeting all the requirements needed for the platform.
- Art director gives them the direction and they build the assets with the technical specifications from the technical artists.
- So, for example- if they are building a chess game for MR, the art director will define the course, the shape of the pieces, the colour so as a mood board, all static images. Then the 3D artist will build the individual assets add in the colours, textures etc. while the technical artist is advising them how to prepare the files and send them out.
- Focus on 3D generalists as 3D artists usually produce static images but they need someone who does modelling, texturing, painting, and animation.
- Experience in video game industry, build, and optimize assets for real time engine.
- Knowledge on optimization process for games or real time engines.
- Generalist knowledge in skills such as modelling, texturing, lighting, animation, physics, and particle systems
- Portfolio should have the wireframe/topography of the object, then the texturing and painting basically how the asset has been put together. Also need to showcase motion-design / animation skills.

- Epic, creative assembly, Jelly fish, Nexus
- 3D generalist, motion designer and animators
- skip all the environment artists.
- Video Games experience
- 3D Modelling packages like Maya or Blender and Unreal/Unity
- 3D General with knowledge on shaders, substance designer, substance painters
- Animations, concept art, Unity/Unreal Engine
- 5+ years’ experience
