Summary /Objective

Thus position is for a remote project-based freelance artist specializing in graphic artwork such as graphic tees. This position requires an artist who can accurately represent and communicate the brand’s identity in their work.

Looking for a versatile artist who can create unique and innovative custom graphic concepts based on an initial design brief. This position requires a great eye for color and composition, and strong illustrative abilities in both hand sketching and rendering using Photoshop & Illustrator.

Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Understand and execute on the creative brief given, providing original artwork within the timeline provided.
• Understand and communicate the brand’s image through original artwork.
• Meet with design team periodically to review project(s) and receive creative feedback.
• Flexibility to deliver on design direction quickly and efficiently.
• Recolor artwork as requested.
• Index artwork if needed to be able to be sent out for screen printing.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• 2+ years of experience in graphic design.
• Strong illustrative sketching abilities via hand sketching and/or digital conception.
• Must have digital portfolio of recent illustrations and any additional work.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Design related field a plus
• Strong knowledge and application of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams at a time.
