Inspired by movies like Studio Ghibli titles Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle and games like Animal Crossing and Kingdom Hearts, we are excited to brew a fresh experience.

Job Description:

Boba Quest is looking for a creative individual to join our team as a 3D Character Artist to create stylized animals, humans, creatures and help our team bring our vision to life. You have an artistic eye, are a team player, and an independent problem solver.

Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality stylized character models & textures that align with concept material
• Interpret & translate 2D concept art into compelling 3D stylized characters with a good eye for composition, texture, color & lighting
• Communicate with directors and team members about ongoing projects, deadlines, and progress reports
• Discuss and receive feedback from directors and team members and apply feedback to models
• Ensuring consistency of UV mapping and polygonal subdivisions & optimize models for game development
• Adhere to guidelines for presenting, submitting progress and final artwork, and managing files

Requirements:

• Experience modeling, UV mapping, & texturing detailed 3D characters based off 2D concept art
• A strong portfolio showing completed previous projects
• Strong communication skills with team members to execute vision and ability to receive and apply feedback
• Well-versed in industry-standard programs such as maya, blender, & substance painter
• Excellent time-management skills and can work efficiently in a dynamic environment
• Strong problem solving skills with creative & technical skills, and attention to detail
